Waxed cotton should only be cleaned with a damp cloth or soft brush and should not be machine washed, dry cleaned, or exposed to hot water and harsh detergents, which can remove its wax coating.
Waxed cotton is water-resistant, develops an attractive patina with age, including creases and color variations, and is a strong and durable fabric that can withstand heavy use and wear and tear.
